Bill McCaffrey presented “Pictures in Wood” discussing the history and different types of Intarsia and Inlay techniques.

Peter Clarke gave a tutorial on creating inlay banding in various sizes and designs. Peter also wrote an in-depth tutorial on creating banding for inlays which is available on the Tutorials webpage.

John Parkinson agreed to put off his discussion of his English internship until next months meeting.

Rob Harris brought the three tools he made at the Homestead Heritage school. This included a marking knife, spokeshave and a bowsaw.

Bob Brown from Mesquite Burl brought several examples of mesquite burls and showed the work he has been doing on making knives with mesquite burl handles. Bob was also gracious enough to bring several pieces of mesquite to give away as door prizes, congratulations to those that won them.
